E-Naira speed wallet removed from Google Play Store following negative reviews, poor rating

The recently launched enaira speed wallet application has been removed from Google Play Store barely 36 hours after it was launched by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

This is coming after it after was comfirmed that the eNaira initiative had over 200,000 wallets downloaded in 24 hours, indicative of massive interest in the Central Bank’s digital currency.

However, negative reactions have trailed the launch of the app as many users complained of several issues, ranging from the inability to link their Bank Verification Number, to getting a verification email.Many users on Google Playstore complained of bugs. According to them, they encountered challenges trying to set up an account.

Before the e-Naira speed wallet was taken down from Google Play Store, the speed wallet had a rating of 2.0, with many complaining of glitches.

Apple store isn’t experiencing this issue as the Speed Wallet and Merchant Wallet apps are still very much available as the time of filling this report.
